- The Sir Ratan Tata Institute (RTI) was established in 1928 by Lady Navajbai Tata and the Stri Zarthostri Mandal for providing employment for women. RTI has set up activities for women in cooking, tailoring, embroidery and Montessori teacher training units. The Institute provides employment for poor women, training them to earn their own living, realize the dignity of labor and make them self-reliant and self-respecting members of the Society.
